Sue Irwin writes nonfiction for kids. Her middle grade books - "Safety Stars" and "Breaking Through" - have received several awards in Canada, where she lives. These include being selected as Canadian Children's Book Centre's "Best Books for Kids and Teens," included on the list of TD Summer Reading Club's "Recommended Reads," and shortlisted for the prestigious Silver Birch award.
